Is it a Jack-o-Lantern? It doesn't look like it. All the ones you've seen here with the glowing orange polyps are Jason Fox Jack-o-Lantern; it's not some lighting trick anyone is using. :)

No several LFS here have mother colonies in display. I asked them to turn off blues. And the eyes still lid up. The blues did help the eyes have a more green look. With just white it had more of a yellow eye. Most people have actinic in their tanks. So the more blue the greener the eyes. I was told the lighting you keep them at will also help the eyes turning more green. But i forgot if it was medium or lower for green verses yellow.

Hey guys I'm aware of that, I know they are several of them... My self have a couple of them,,, soon I will be posting Them. I thought that one is a Pavona, guess I have to look up some information and do my home work.. I'm happy that you all coming up with more variety. That's what I want in First Place.. Thanks

At a LFS saw a nice branching leptoseris. When i had them pull it from tanks i was told it was an ora mint green pavona. If you saw the two species next to each other most would think they were the same.

Thanks guys! I'm shooting with a Canon Rebel xti, manual mode, 35-80mm lens with a 4x Hoya diopter stacked on the front f7.0, ISO400, custom white balance.

The JOL lives and grows under a Chinese black box dimmable full spectrum LED similar to the Reefbreeders value fixture. He started out as a tiny little booger, and in just over a year has turned into a beast.

Here's one of mine before I cut it, and after, but under different lighting.

And another weird one I should have a frag of this week from a buddy of mine

Just got a Faux Fox

How is that different from the Jack-O-Lantern?

They both look the same to me.

Can you post pix of faux fox? Is that what they are calling it? I have seen one called fake o lantern i did not think it looked anything like the true jack o lantern.

The fauxfox does look alot like the true JOL. As for the fake o lantern, u can see a big difference. Where did u get the fauxfox? I have the true JOL and grows like all leptoseris, a weed. With green eyes and stripped just like the fauxfox.
