Got my inTank media basket for my AquaClear 70

Got it in today, looks awesome. Will put it in tomorrow, but here is a pic:

Can't wait to try this thing out and replace the factory basket, if you can call it a basket It'll be used on my quarantine tank, a 40B.

Haha, I started to count the holes, but never finished. I didn't win it, I bought it from their site. Are they not a sponsor on R2R any longer?

Didn't notice until you mentioned this. Their forum is MIA, so they must not have renewed their sponsorship. If you ever get bored, count em up. Just for kicks, I'm wondering how close my guess of 122 was, lol

Yeah, thats exactly what I started doing yesterday when I got it, but after a 5 hour drive home yesterday from TN, I didn't have the mindset to start counting too high I was lucky to have taken a pic, haha

Wow thats crazy...i didnt even know they were gone. That's too bad, he has some nice stuff. I checked nano-reef.com and it was 116 FWIW.

I paid 52.99 plus shipping for mine, and it shipped the next morning after I placed my order, and had it in two days. I can't wait to put it in tonight, I'll take some pics.

Got my basket in the tank finally. Much better than the factory one..enjoy:

With filter floss in it. No carbon since I"m running Copper right now

Looks good! What media do you plan on putting in there when you're done with the copper treatment? just carbon?

Yeah, mostly just some type of sponge or filter floss for sediment filtration, and then a carbon bag on the middle one. I'll probably put a sponge on top of the carbon bag to make sure its flowing through it and not going around.

The compartment on the right side, looking from the back, is actually designed for a heater, but my big ole' Jaggers is way too big for that area, haha.

Is this going on your 40 breeder with the fish while you get the new DD set up?

Yup, thats what its running right now, my 40B with fish. I just did a 10gal water change, and have another going. This water has a little strong copper than the tank as well, so I'm slowly increasing it during water changes.

The basket is really nice for sure. I'm going to be keeping an eye on his site for more useful stuff. Its built very well and gives much more options than the traditional one.
