Been struggling with this for months now and nothing seems to fix it.
As per the photos it looks like Cyano, however I have done two lots of Dr Tims 2 week programs. Dropped the skimmer back to not run all the time.
It will buld up in the sandbed first and then slowly it will grow on...
Does anyone recognize this type of algae? Originally had Dinos, and then killed them off slightly with h202 dosingNow this new bacteria is showing.
My parameters are the following:
8.2 pH
77 degrees
34 ppt salinity
2.5 ppl nitrate
480 ppm calcium
.10 ppm phosphate
8 dKH
I seem to be growing some kind of green velvet alge wherever light intensity is at the highest. Looks like it’s turning into coralline?Should I leave it be or try to fix it? Any input good or bad is welcome and highly valued.

Acquired the unit in a tank buy and don't need it as I already have one on my tank. The unit and lights look lightly used but in good condition. I did connect the lights only to ensure they work. The lid hinges have been broken but shouldn't effect the operation of the unit. Asking 280 obo that...
