Have you ever dropped your skimmer cup lid while cleaning it only to have it crack in half? Me neither. I modeled this because I'm thinking of adding a float switch to my skimmer and didn't want to drill the original. I thought it might be useful to others that have either lost or broke theirs...

Curve 5 problems. I find this skimmer to be unreliable and any input appreciated. This is a weeks worth of skimming at max setting.Running in 8.5” of water and recently vinegar bathed for two days . Any advice?
