Thank you. The growth is starting to take off. I'm dosing a total of 21ml of AFR, in 8 doses spread out over 24 hours.

I didn't even want her in the first place. My wife whined and I gave in. 8 years later I still have her (wife and the fish). She's killed more fish than I can count. I'm tired of maintaining her tank to be honest. I won't stop. I take great care of her. I just wish it could be in the other tank.

Filled with water sand and rocks on May 12th, 23.

The majority of the corals went in July 9.

There hav been some ups and downs. I broke my #1 rule and used a chemical. Flatworm exit, I lost a couple pieces and slowed down growth on a bunch more. I feel like I could be much further along had I not made that one miss judgement. But I'm back to organic as possible.

Dosing total 23ml of AFR in 12 doses spread through the day. Weekly AFR dose adjustments. Deficits in alk, cal, and mag are dosed with 2 part and Magnes-ion. I've also had to start dosing KNO3.

Clown has been in and swimming for few days now, so far her and the goby stay out of each other's way.

My nem went into the overflow yesterday, but I don't see any damage. His foot is still attaching. Although he did move way down under the green monti cap on the right after I freed his bubble tips from the weir. So far he seems ok though.

Unless something happens, next update on the corals 1 year anniversary.

Clown and goby had a small tussle over territory. It seems they both felt they had lost. The challenges have completely stopped since she found her nem.

Got a good picture of my run of the mill pink streaked goby. He's starting to give up on making friends with the snapping shrimp. I get to see him a lot more lately.

An interesting side note: the nem was posting up low in the tank where the snapping shrimp could shelter under it. It had been doing it for a months or so.

Once the clown found them nem. The nem moved up higher away from the shrimp.

Fingers crossed the clown keeps playing nice!

I love all the scrolling montis you have, such a pretty growth pattern.
They are my favorite coral. I know montis aren't considered special by everyone. But I've always loved them. I'm most excited about the green one with blue polyps and purple growth. It started as a 1/4 inch x 1/2" frag. But it's finally starting to cook.

Agreed on the clown. I won't get rid of her if she starts acting out again. But I will have to fire up her 15 gallon cube. Which I do not want to do at all.

My clown and pink streak are.getting on so well I added two neon goby's. They paired up instantly and chill in a monti cap:

The two neons are going so well I'm considering adding a falco's hawk fish but am probably not going to.

Bought a new flashlight, two actually. One white one blue. I was excited for the blue one. But the white one, wow! This picture is through a Pixel 6 pro, no filters, no flash google camera app and a white flashlight.

And for fun, my shock tart under "slightly" blue light

I let things go for a few weeks. My giant schnauzer almosed died. Took lots of trips to emergency and a couple more to the vet. But they figured it out. He has Addison's disease. Regardless, I babied him for a few weeks and ignored my tank.

I let it run out of AFR... and let my nitrates almost bottom out. But it's not looking like I let it get too far away.

Last night I scraped and cleaned up some film algae, dusted off the caps with a turkey baster, and loaded up the AFR. It's time to start testing alk and see how much I need to add. Cal was a bit high before so I'm not super worried about it. I've resumed dosing ammonia for the time being to get nitrates back up.

Here are a few pictures. Think I'm about 14 months in now.
