If its a clean separation you can use weld on 4. Its not a gel. There are some thicker gel ones, but I don't remember what they are.

weld on 3 or 4 are about the same. as long as its a clean break either will work. If theres any gaps and you need something thicker, weldon 16 is like a gel.

Weldon 4 is almost like water, very thin. Weldon 16 is like gel and easier to handle.

the scoop.....

scigrip 3 and 4 have differences, but for this application they would work in the same manner. both create a stronger bond than scrip 16, but they are water thing and could be hard to use in all applications. since this skimmer fix isn't structural, i'd say all options are viable. just depends on what you can get your hands on. as already stated, scigrip 16 has a syrup consistency.

after seeing the photos i'd use 3 or 4. you're going to be applying pressure on that rim when you turn the screws, so you'll want as strong of a bond as possible.

If you just want it back in operation and don't care about how it looks, epoxy putty will work. I fixed an old calcium reactor that I stepped on the inlet and didn't have a clean break with epoxy putty. It definitely won't look good though.

So glad I didn't try to answer this. I would have suggested duct tape!
