40B. Had 27lbs of LR and 15lbs recurring.
Ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites all 0 in a 20g for the past 2 weeks already cycled.
Put the 15lbs in my 40B 12hrs ago.
Tested just now. ammonia 0 nitrates 0 nitrites 0.10(a little darker blue than that baby blue color you get from API test kit)
Setting up water now. To have for a water Change for an emergency change. About 14g
At what ppm should I worry?
Should I pull the rocks added and try at a later date and weekly put them in?
Or.. Should I just ride it out doing water changes every few days?
My powerhead MJ1200 has an air control valve. Should I open that up and to help put more O² in the tank for this time of a spike?
Any wisdom helps.
I already know it is not good for the fish. Just need to know from experience adding in LR and kicking up sand. How long it will take.
I have 6 fish, inverts, and corals.

you would ignore the nitrite readings altogether, they matter zero. nitrite is the most unneeded test in reefing. if your sandbed causes a great cloud when you pick some up and drop it back down, that'd be worth correcting for sure tho...in my opinion. lets see what the others think of the low level api nitrite issue.

the ammonia reading matters, curious what that reads alongside a pic of an ammonia test from clean saltwater with guaranteed no ammonia origin.

Went to a LFS, BUT..not so local being 50m away haha. Brought a sample to make sure my kit wasn't messing up. He had the same thing for a result. Hint of nitrites. About .10 we agreed on. There is a small small small hint of ammonia. Between .05 - .10. I swapt out the carbon combo bag and put purigin in it. That will help with both.

If you are not a believer in Purigin. Maybe this will sway your opinion. Exactly 4 hours later. 0.01 ammonia 0 nitrites. If anything changes. I will post.
