AIO as a quarantine tank for corals?

Is a good option for quarantining corals an AIO tank? I have a basic 10g starter kit from PetSmart for my future fish QT system, but I'm trying to figure out the best, and cheapest way to QT corals. I was looking at either a used biocube 14 or FUSION NANO 10. I figure either will be @ $100 minus lighting. What is the most basic lighting I can use to get the coral through the QT period?

yes. mine is a mostly gutted 14g with sand and live rock, thats it. pretty much anything for light you can afford. Just need to check the intensity. Its shallow so you dont need much.

I agree that it totally can be. However, I'll add that I would try to mimic the conditions in your DT within reason. For acclimation purposes, it would be best to try to get your parameters, flow, and lighting relatively similar (PAR level, type of lighting, etc.) IMHO. That way you're not having to significantly reacclimate them when you move them to the DT. Just my .02.

empty. Light rock sand ato. 8 gal of water pretty much. I should put the carbon back in I suppose.
The nutrients drop pretty quick so I have to remember to feed the tank.
