Keep the interest ticking over, I'm sure you get the urge back once the room is finished and you sort the 180.

The interest is still there just don't feel like dropping money on fish and coral right now. Fish room is finished to the point where my electronics are on a board.

Nothing fancy, but I'm in the process of building a new apex board
ce64bba0f13e359d98da1949c69502ed.jpg

The new board will be better for wire management and hopefully look nicer than the last one.

My ATO and cal reactor are all setup in there also

The fish room has been cleaned up since these pictures were taken. Theres room for a frag tank in there. The problem with my "fish room is its the size of a closet and also houses our house sump pump so I have to be able to get to that in an emergency. I'd like to put 2 20s in there (on stronger shelves that ill build) for qt.

Really the only thing left to do with the fish room that is a necessity is running electricity to that room so it's on it own circuit.

I've slowly started to move my attention back to the tank now that the colder months are moving closer. Trying to take care of the cyano/bacteria problem I'm currently having along with finishing up the smallest fish room ever. Sorry for the horrible pictures
Tried organizing my shelves alittle

Repurposed a 3 drawer roll around storage big for fragging/ things ill need while working on the tank

Working on the wife to let me replace this stuff with a frag/coral qt tank

And of course the new and improved apex board

Thanks this tank still has a long way to go. Once i get the replacement 180 then ill reboot the system. By then I'd like to have the equipment I really want and to have all the rock acid washed and cured to make sure nothing is leaching.

I must say that your sailfin tang is one of the nicest specimens I've seen for a long time.
Thank you! Tangs are my favorite so when I saw this sailfin at the lfs at 4" and had a full stomach I couldn't pass it up for $28. Makes me happy that someone thinks it looks as nice as I do

Do you have a power supply behind the Apex board? Wondering how far from the tank it is, do you need to use extension cords etc? Thinking of something like this for my system, trying to sort out the details.

Not sure exactly what you're asking but if i understand you correctly you're asking about the power supplies for the pump/powerhead? If so there are 2 power supplies behind the board. The return pump is just on the other side of the wall so the power cord reaches. The powerhead that has a power supply is in the middle of my tank and thats the cord that stretches infront of the board

Actually, I missed the power supply at the top of the board! I'm planning out my fishroom and need to figure out where to put plugs (and how many). I want to do build a control board like this so just trying to understand how it all goes together.

Oh i see you meant the wall outlet. Yeah the wall outlet for the equipment is installed right above the board. I also plan on installing 3 more in the room. 1 will be on the same circuit as the 1 I already installed and the other 2 on a different circuit in case 1 circuit trips it wont kill the whole tank

All of the little white spots on the red are pods. Tank is crawling with them. Need to setup a fuge for them to hide out in

Added sand lastnight. It's definitely hard keeping the sand from moving with all this flow. May add a few more bags later but for now it's better. Need to clean the glass tomorrow before everyone comes over

Your build has had some downs. Sorry for your struggles. I like how the 125 is coming along. are those rw8s or 15?
