Anything to worry about?

New to the hobby and I was just wondering if the white stuff under the zoa and on the plug is anything to worry about?

Should I try to remove it?

Yes that's what I was thinking but being new I just wanted to make sure.

Dip your corals if possible in Bayer to kill off the pest.

If you like your zoa's yes I would.
If you have coralRx on hand if not use Bayer from HD or Lowes.

I would always dip everything before putting in tank. But are you sure the white isn't just coarse sand?

Nudi branches are there in many shapes, forms and colors.
Seeing the zoa's closed up close to it and if you look good you can see bites out the zoa stem.
After dipping we will know more.
Of course dipping and quarantine corals if you can, now days it's a LOT different than 5 years ago.
I can write a whole testament down on why we more pest than 5 years ago but that's for a different day.

Alright dip done, it didn't really fall off but I broke it off my self before putting it back in the tank.

Still bits of it around..I used coral rx because I had it laying around.

This is my first frag so I had no dip when I bought it..I also unfortunately have no quarenteen tank.

As long you do a dip and rinse really really really good before putting it back into the tank.

Some stuff did come off...Black specs and a few other small debris..I let it soak for 10 minutes and used a turkey baster to blast it.

After I shook it out in clean water.

It's all ticked off and closed now...I'll snap a pic in the morning.

That looks like aptasia. Kill it quickly

Best/easiest way to do so?

Take the whole frag out of the tank and scrape it completely off. Then rinse the frag in tank water, not in the tank, and put it back in. Aptasia can multiply rapidly in your tank and they can be a real pain. Try not to disturb it when you take the plug out of the tank. Make sure you get all of the aptasia, and keep an eye out for more in your tank. Try to stay on top of these because if they get a foot hold in your tank they can be tough to eradicate.
Also, on a side note, I see you joined a couple of months ago. I would educate yourself on "Palytoxin", if you don' know what it is. Give it a google. These types of corals can make you very sick if not handled properly.
