After a few searches on Seahorse.com it appears that H2O2 is safe for seahorses. I am going to start dosing tonight and will post results. Thanks

I have a peppermint shrimp and have been dosing only once a day error on the side of caution and haven't seen any issues with the shrimp. Saw it out last night running around eating

Do you have a cyanobacteria outbreak that you can't beat down?
Thank you for following as this all comes together!
NO, BUT SOUNDS LIKE ITS AN ISSUE THAT EVERYBODY FACES AT SOME POINT, I'M SURE MY TURN WILL COME, AND YOU CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH INFO. THIS WAS A VERY WELL PUT OUT ARTICLE IN SUCH THAT A NEWBIE CAN UNDERSTAND IT. WELL DONE

Nice guys thank you for the updates!
I think a good plan is 12 hour dosing.
The lifespan of h2o2 is so short that dosing timing is going to be key.
So in this case the 12 hour dosing while lights are off will allow the h2o2 to help reach a longer lifespan.
The other 12 hour dose is lights on which increases the oxidizing capability of the peroxide.
Same amount per 12 hours, don't divide the dose.

Are you saying "unofficially" to dose 1mL per 10 gallons, twice per day?

FWIW, I have now dosed for 5 days at night, 1mL per 10 gallons... with no decrease in cyano. Everything in my tank seems happy except for one small Acan colony. I have a couple of large Acan colonies and an Acan garden rock made up of about 16 different frags... they are all happy. I have various SPS, LPS, leathers, rock nems, Rainbow BTA, shrimp, Purple Reef Lobster etc... all are fine. All fish are fine.

Cyano matts are breaking up much smaller significant loss on rock hair algae on glass almost completely gone dinos more concentrated to single area's.
All live stock including pods are showing no signs of discomfort. Gorgi no longer closing up after dosing actually has better PE, Same with green devils hand.
Water quality still staying stable

So for Dino's

Dose 10ml for 10g every 12 hours for 3-4 days and black out the tank?

You could. My personal advice to you would be to sit tight and see the results and methods used by some in this thread or search through previous years of others doing similar peroxide dosing and figure out what you want to do. I don't have the dinos beat yet and am holding back explaining the different methods, used with peroxide, that is working for me so others can then evaluate and make an educated decision on how to beat dinos or cyano in their tank.

That dosage above is 10x too strong unless an oxidizer party is in the works which can be handy

But as a starting dose to me that's 10x party, should be 1:10

This is with dosing what exactly?
Thank you Randy for coming in.
This is the ORP readings dosing h2o2
What I am seeing is a drop in ORP during the initial few hours of dosing.
I only ask because a member posted asking the question with the thought that h2o2 should increase the ORP due to it being an oxidizer.

Oh my I almost missed this!
Please DO NOT dose a tank at 10ml per 10 gallons!

This thread is not intended to give directions for dosing peroxide.
The final will be prepared and posted when all conclusive information is obtained

Day 5 H2O2
The green algae is dying off rapidly now, same with dinos. The cyano matts are decreasing in size substantially, cyano that was in the sump is 100%gone sorry no pictures of the sump was not focused on it.
All live stock and coral are sowing no discomfort. The gorgi is show a vast improvement even gaining areas that were previosly lost and tips are sowing some growth.
