I wanted to follow up on my efforts. After the overdosing of Dr Tim's Eco-Balance and Waste-Away, I noticed the brown color starting to return in the sand bed. Assuming it was the Dino's returning I ordered reef grow Algae-oust and Bio Load. After following the micro bubble regiment with these products I noticed no change in the tank. However, I have not done anything to the tank since that time and have not noticed any change in the brown color on the sand bed. No bubbles are forming and no streamers are forming. This leads me to believe the brown color on the sand bed are diatoms and not Dino's. I do not have a microscope to confirm this. I don't believe the reef grow products or micro bubbling had anything to do with this but that's just my opinion. I have not noticed any signs of Dino's in the tank at this point. Fingers crossed!
