Okay, so I use Randy's 2 part (actually 3, with Magnesium) I've always used this calculator, 'Reef Chemistry Calculator FV' , but for some reason, also have this calculator in my favorites, Reef Chemistry Calculator . Today, I decided to compare the calculators.

Today, I tested everything. My total water volume is 240 gallons. My Alk is at 2.3 meq/lt. My target is 3.2 meq/lt. According to the first calculator, the one I've always used, I need to add 14.6 ounces of solution. According to the second calculator, I need to add 29.2 ounces. Both calculators gave me the same amount of Calcium supplement to raise from 395 to 420 @ 24.9 ounces. However, the Alkalinity results are VASTLY different. Any ideas??

False alarm!!!

Helps if you put Recipe #1 into BOTH calculators, instead of #1 in one and #2 in the other.

I feel a lil' idiotic about now!!
