Just thought I would introduce myself and say Hi to everyone who looks through the noob section.
My names Josh, Iv been into aquariums for a while. Had a lot of different things, fresh, salt, turtles, dragons, basicly if it shows up on my Instagram feed we've tried it just to stay away from salt water.
Buuut, like every good addict, here I am. Promised the wife it would only be a 10 gallon frag, no fish real simple, using only what I had lying around from previous tanks. 5 months later and a quick run to get crickets we're now in the process of a nice 40breeder build.
My kids are stoked, my wife is nervous (I decided it was time to stop saying "one day" and bring the kids to Disney this may before they don't see the magic in it any more) so I understand where she's coming from, but we always somehow find money so I'm fine with it, its only money anyway right.
Well, that's a quick blurb, I'll ramble on another time. Here's a few pics of the 10 gallon and the 40 build. I'll try to set up a spot in the build section shortly.

Welcome @Atlantisdelux to R2R.

My first guess when I saw your stand was that you picked up a washstand from Ikea and added the fancy molding to the top. But as I paged down, it became clear that you built that.....very nice. Is that a Glass-Holes overflow I see? I'd also like to see how you fit the sump in......need to start a "Member's Tank" thread.

The overflow is actually an eshopps eclipse medium. And your fairly close on the stand. My wife was the one who found the stand idea, she chose 2 pictures, one of a low TV stand and another I believe was a taller stand from IKEA. I just tried to put both ideas together and that's what came out.
As for the sump. Kinda poor planning. My options are 1. Using my 10 gallon 2. Using a 15 or 20tall which would make working on it a pain in the.... 3. Ordering a custom acrylic cube (best option but not cheapest) 4. Having glass cut and just making my own custom all together. But more on that when I start my build thread. Is there a special "build" spot or just under "members tanks" ?

Welcome to R2R Josh. That is a great looking stand. I too thought it was a retro-fit of some sort but then noticed you built it. Great job.
