there could be pods hiding in the hair algae, unless you see the hair algae actually shrink in size, if thats the case, you have a priceless wrasse that I know a lot of ppl will pay big money to take it off of your hands lol.

haha, thats probably what he is doing, hunting for pods... Ill keep watching and if he is actually eating the algae, I shall name him the Million Dollar Wrasse
