I spoke with a few people using ocean motion systems with flow accelerators. Both are having great results and been in use for multiple years. Paul is against it because it pushs the envelope. Its like Chevrolet saying its not a good idea to super charge your vette but I did and Im making 1200 rwhp.

adding the accelerators is adding a bit of back pressure to your plumbing and putting more pressure on the seals in the OM, the ReeFlo pumps can handle it fine and it could actually reduce your power consumption while still increasing water flow, I'm fairly confident that the OM can handle it too but the OM seals would be my only concern with using the accelerators in your CL system...

awesome build and great attention to detail, this is gonna be one of the nicest systems out there, great job man, and I bet the Vette is fun to drive too :)

looks good! with all of those return lines in front of the overflow's are you concerned that you won't get proper skimming of the surface?

I can.make changes with the return lines but dont think there will be any issues. The 6 lines on top will point downward into the tank.

AMAZING build and even better thread!! Don't let lack of responses get to you. All the updates and pictures are amazing. I'm just getting back into the hobby after about 5 years and am brand new to this forum. This thread has everything I like. I love to see the mechanical, electrical, plumbing aspect, love marine tanks, and loooove fast rides haha. I'm an import guy but what is that beast in?

After the rock acid bath I have to start curing the rock, I hope to get this started asap. This process is holding up me filling the tank. Im probably looking at 3 weeks to cure, I will keep the build alive since there is still.a lot to do. Next building a light rack with aluminum square tubing and tig welding. Stay tuned

Another view of the return finished. The return again is pumped by a reeflo hammerhead pump, then again two more hammerhead pumps for the closed loop. This tank is gonna have some serious flow. Six Flow accelerators off the return manifold.
