We recently PAR tested the new Radion G4 in the BRS Test Lab, and were pretty impressed with the results! Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

I think you just sent me two. I currently have a pair of Gen2's and a 400 watt halide over my 150DD. I don't know if the halide will get retired or not.

I was really shocked by the evenness of the spread on these. Pretty cool lenses! How do you have your current lights situated out of curiosity.

I have my halide suspended by a piece of PVC over the center of the tank, though an RMS rail will be replacing it when the new lights come in. The Radions are next to it on a multi light RMS and mounts. I'd like to mount the Radions at the same level as the halide glass, but angled slightly inward.

Will the G3 price go down?

Maybe, but a real solid option is to grab a Gen 2 and upgrade it. I was about to pull the trigger on upgrades when I saw a post on an ETM fan page on FB with a Gen 4 poster. I figured since I have Gen 2 lights, I'd make the upgrade to a chassis that I suspect will be upgradeable for another 3-5 years.

True, but keep in mind that the Gen 4 has a different LED layout so the Gen 1, 2, and 3 likely won't receive an upgrade path to the Gen 4.

Your videos are so much more informative than any other videos out there when it comes to product reviews and the new latest reefing equipment. Keep up the good work

I meant upgrade to G3 Pro. They are still as good as they were a few weeks ago. :)
