I have been mainly freshwater last 20 years with a few saltwater tanks along the way. But I decided to jump in the deep end of salt and try a reef. I'm in the process of setting up a 300 gallon but its going a little slow as I want to be sure everything is right.

Thanks hope to learn a lot here, was on a Facebook group for awhile but they mostly just bash each other and most seem like they just troll post. Way more information here and easier to find, plus people seem more friendly.

Welcome aboard, Midknightskie!

I've found the same thing about Reef2Reef - folks are genuinely respectful here, and want everyone to enjoy a successful reefing experience. It's one of the better pools of humanity I've experienced. I hope you enjoy the time you spend here ... and that you share that 300 gallon reef with us!

Welcome to R2R and to saltwater. You are doing well, you are taking it slow and not rushing things.
