Any one have PAR Readings for comparison?

12" or 24"

For clams and carpet anemones I like to see at least 200 at the sand bed.

Bill
I should have some par # this weekend-I would suspect well over 200 in areas on the sand bed-that maxima in my pic is about 34" from the light source in indirect lighting shaded by the poc above it-it started in the sand bed below in direct light and quickly started to bleach! been in that shaded area for about 7 months now and has fully recovered trying to dial these things with out a par meter is risky-my worry about these fixtures is longevity not the ability support life

his is THE link for the blackbox. 3 models to choose from. I bought 2 of the timer/remote models, ($135).

This isn't eBAY. This is the CHINESE Blackbox LED Proof Group, 2169 members strong and growing everyday!

Try it out

The same Black Boxes are sold to vendors who sell on EBAY.

Compare the housing and controller. Also be careful of your TV remote messing with the light.

Jzaso did you get some par numbers for the mars aqua 300w

No bud, never made it to the meeting-flu-but that link that was posted for the fb group-chinese black box proof group, has par# for the marsaqua and more
shown with and without lenses-ton of info on there - mods, settings, ect, check it out.hopefully I will make this months meeting and pick that up-I have that 300w 20" above the water in a 26"dp tank(partial lighting on the 300g stock tank)so I really need to get some # on that and see what I need to do-if anything- looks fine and animals are reacting well-

Thanks Larr -that flu stuff no fun I guess those lense on our mars units are frosted to reduce "color striping" I would think they would have a lesser light transmittal % I found some clear lenses on ebay that say they have a 93% transmittal rating-they say on the fb group that if you remove the optics you end up with 120 degree spread good for color blending, spread,- good for lights close to water, shallow tanks not for my application but maybe for yours-thats a lot of light on your tank!! did you get your optics off ebay?

i have run the e.shine 60w classic cree leds over my tank since 2009 and i have no complaints for the price. i am however upgrading slowly to radion pros for the added spectrum to give better coloration but they do not have issues growing coral.

I have 3 over my 180 FOWLR and I just got another for my 36 reef tank. I love the ones over my 180 but haven't mounted the one over the reef tank yet.

I have 4 Chinese leds over my 200 gallon. I was wondering is yours the 165w dimmable ones and if so what do you have your set to? I been working with mine for over a month now and can't find any info on setting them. My tank is 7x2x2.
