Notice any long white stringy fish poop hanging out of them?

I'd lean toward something like a disease or hitch hiker as well. Something is targeting fish. Water chemistry/contaminants typically your losing inverts first. Almost a solid rule really.

Also just to clarify, you don't quarantine, and these deaths are from your main display tank? I only ask because you said something about having trouble quarantining.

Both the naso and angelfish went thru QT. Having trouble with the last couple of fish making thru QT since these two. Prazipro and cupramine. Didn't notice any strange poop.

Most fish are 3 to 8 years. Not QT 'd. The other fish are over a year old and have been thru QT.

A cleaner shrimp is mostly beneficial for eating dead skin and removing debris that gets caught inside a fish's gills.

You may end up having to take the rocks out of the tank to catch them. As for how to QT, here is a great article on it.

Taking rocks out with large SPS colonies is not an option at this time. I'm thinking fish trap.

You can try a fish trap, or just being sneaky with a net. You'll have to get a QT large enough to house them for 76 days and an over sized powerfilter for it. Lots of PVC elbows and copper or CP (assuming it's ick that is).

If you have sand...Dig a big hole in one corner of the tank. Then drain the tank fast with MAG 24 pump to large vat from tractor supply or other store. The fish will swim the perimeter of the tank and "most" will stay in the hole you dug out. Just net them out. For those that don't, you can trap them. Then use same big pump to fill the tank again. This way your SPS colonies won't be outta the water too long.

If you have a dotty back, they are notorious for hiding in the rocks. They will come out to eat if hungry enough. :mad:

I like to use these Sterilite latch boxes for QT a lot. They are well made, light, and easy to clean. This one below is about a 13 gallon. The only down fall is visibility. I use them when I'm treating- after I know the fish has a parasite. Then for QT, I switch back to glass to observe the fish daily after treatment.

They have anywhere from about 1 gallon up to 7 gallons too.
