Ok well just letting everyone following.. I am back in the running. Tore down.. shortened the 4 ft c2c overflow to 11 inches corner box. Lowered it as well. Changed from black substrate to a white very fine sand and got a jabeo cp-40 wave maker... that's all i got for now..

All corals have been under t5 in my 20 gallon long. Doing well. Thinking of dropping the sbreef led's for t5s and or mix both and use led's for more of the blue spectrum. Any ideas? I want this time to be successful.

@saltyfilmfolks you talk about this lux metee. I know you have one. Have you compared your meter to a downloaded app? I have one on my phone. And with t5s at the surface I get readings of each bulb basically. So I've based where my highest light would be on that in my 20 gallon. Was wondering how far off the phone to the meter would be.

Ok well it's been a bit since I've posted anything here.. but I am now moved into my house and I'm set up been running for a little over 2 months here.. I tore down redid the overflow. when I did I changed to a fine white sand... overall the tank has been doing amazing. I do have this cyano algea I believe it is. red hair like on the sand bed. I used api test kit shows 0 for nitrates and nitrites. haven't tested for phosphate. but read that algea will pull the them to zeros. which I'm guessing is happening here.. so I'm cutting the lights for a few days then I'll light it up for a day or two and repeat. I do not like adding the chemicals to rid things.. as I don't want more problems than needed. here is a FTS as to my setup. thanks again for viewing.

Well update on the build...

Took one baffle out of sump added 2 more.
Drilled the tank... not that bad. Quitell easy.
Painted the back black
Got the bean animal plumbing done.
Single return over the top

Before the dollar gallon deal ended I picked up a 20 gallon long to replace our 2.5 gallon in the room.

Would you look at that beauty coming together so nicely..... the c2c. Black acrylic.. background black. Doing a black sand... have it in all my other tanks. Makes our colors stand out more.

Not long before I can give it a full run... anxiously waiting.... think at this point I'd rather wait for a Dr in a waiting room..... this hobby is killing me haha....

Last shot as its curing and what the back looks like... *ball valve inserted* previous pics didn't have one haha....

Still have to....
trim the stand... 1×2 maybe..
Paint the trim... blue
Build a canopy... suggestions on a 75?
Build some doors. anyone got advise on doors
I know there is more.. tons more.. but first is get the leak testing done and fix any errors..

Well next update will be full of test water make sure it all works properly.

Stay tuned. Tons more to come.
Thanks for viewing.

OK I just got complicated. The sump should have three equal dividers?

Than three wholes in the back of your main tank.

Then plumbing... I might me more direction here when I start doing it. Did I just say that???!!
