wow, crinoids. your corals are going to love the extra feedings.
Indeed i feed 2 times 5 gram rotifier additional to my tank every dat (on top of the 40 gram fish food.

I also removed thebpowerfilter feom the mainpump and place an powerfilter into the sump which i put on an feeding timer.
When i feed the powerfilter will be turned of for 1 hour.

Comanthus comatula, crinoids, featherstar.
Indeed very cool david.
The are also very fascinating animals.
They walk through the tank and every day i see them on a different spot.
Makes evry day a sport to look them up.
They are filterfeeders and not recommended for novice reefers.
Most keep them a few weeks, at the most 8weeks.
It seems feeding rotifier can extend their live in our reeftank . This tip i got from Tim Wijgerde phd.

I have kept them up to 10 months before in my reef. Some I kept one year already in my dymico system.
Before without rotifier..
So we will see what feeding rotifiers will bring us in rhe future.

i was able to keep a featherstar in my reef tank for just about a year until i swapped to a new setup and lost it during the move, im still thinking of setting up a tank just for feathers only,glad to hear yours are doing well
