Green algae

Hello everybody I have a problem I put a new set of Lights on my 55 gallon and now I'm growing green algae like hair and it's really thick can anybody help

I had started getting it after my new light things I found were test the water for high levels of nitrates and phosphates water change as needed, cut down the lighting if on longer than 8 hours, get turbo snails, and manually remove it

Okay I have 3 turbo snails I will try to get more and see how that goes thanks

What kind of light did you have and what did you switch to? Any parameter numbers?
