Growth with Leather Finger Coral

I bought a LFC on a rock and it has grown to cover almost the whole rock. It sits in sand close but not up against another rock. Will it be ok there when it outgrows the rock?

Yes it will be fine. If it touches another rock it will attach there as well. Some finger leathers can really get a wide base this way.
I have several leathers in my tank that are attached to 3-4-5 rocks at one time.
