I had a bunch of hair algae and other algae about a month ago, and I decided to grab a couple emerald crabs and and got a CUC from aquarium depot along with a starry blenny from my LFS. So far its been keeping hair algae away.

Sea Hare,Emerald Crab,Tangs would eat it.

I've always had tangs and never any hair algae (except in my under gravel filter days in the 90's)

Problem with vibrant is if your parameters aren't great you can get cyano if it's present in your tank. I think the best cuc is pods they keep my side glass clean all by them selves but I also have about 17-18 years worth and a very fat leopard wrasse

This is true I did get cyano but it did eventually go away and I'd rather deal with that than ha

Get a tuxedo urchin. It will eat the lot!

I had/have an outbreak due to gradual phosphate increase which I've now dealt with and LFS recommended them over everything so I got 2 of them and they just eat and eat it.

It's gradually disappearing

Sea hare is a grass eating machine and by far the best I've ever seen over any fish or crab. Second, put one or two emerald crabs in. The sea hare will eat it all up so when he does, take him out or he'll die. The emerald crabs and snails will keep it managed from there. This worked for me and then over time you can work on eliminating the algae with other methods like scrubbers, additives and parameters.
