Hair algae problem!!!

agree with most of these responses but would like to add
1) def need to find the source - excess feeding, top off water, too high of bioload - whatever
2) physical removal is always the first/best solution - this removes the nutrients directly from the tank with the algae
3) cheato in a fuge
4) turbo snails - just a couple no need for more then that or any other CUC
5) balancing the system - once a system is in balance between producers and consumers - water changes, protein skimmers and fuges will help maintain that balance - algae will not grow anymore

I bought a sea hare from Drs. Foster and Smith. It looks like it's trying to eat the algae, but it can't seem to reach the ends of the long strands of algae.

not so much the magnesium as other contaminants in the Kent Tech-M. That is why only the Kent Tech-M seems to work.
