Curious on this question as well. Have a H. Pelicieri juvenile on the way.If we have a lone wrasse in a tank, will it eventually become a terminal male? or will it live out its life in transitional male phase?
It depends on the particulr genus, but Cirrhilabrus, Halichoeres, and Paracheilinus generally transition even if they are the sole wrasse.Curious on this question as well. Have a H. Pelicieri juvenile on the way.
If tbere are a few other Halichoeres, and the tank is large enough, they can coexist, but I wouldn't recommend it. They can be quite aggressive with one another. Can you have a chrysotaenia and a melanarus in the same tank?
I wouldn't do it either. Plus, the casual observer will just see two of the same same fish. Can you have a chrysotaenia and a melanarus in the same tank?
