Regards,

How recommendable is to perform the "BeanAnimal" system with 1" pipe for a 170 gallon aquarium ??

Is very little flow ?? The return pump is a Jebao dc 12000

My humble scheme:

Red: 1.5 inch emergency
Blue: Sifon and Open Channel 1 inch
Green: return 1/2 inch

I use a bean animal on my 180. Three 1'' drains similar to what you show, just in different orders (don't know that matters). Took a bit to tweak the settings to control noise.
