I want to be sure I'm adding the appropriate cuc's to deal with what I've got. Tank is 1 mo old, cycled and all numbers have been in acceptable ranges: no amon, no nitrites, nitrates 5-10, no phos. Alk tends to be low. I do weekly water changes of approx 10 %. Tank is a AIO RSM c250 (I think my thread for tank build is listed in sig).

I currently have
4 trochus, 2 bees, 2 ceriths, 3 nassarius and 4 hermits. I'm planning to add to my cuc this next weekend and maybe a tang to deal with the algae. and maybe even add some macro algae in the tank until I get a refugium set up. Algae on the corals pretty much came with them.

So what do you recommend. Do I have basically hair algae? All algae has bubbles by end of day. Morning none.

Considering going that your system is fairly new, I would suggest to wait another month until you add more livestock. Turbo snails being the first one the list to deal with algae issues.

Time amount of day light not including the morning and sunset. I was told the longer the day the more algie. I was at store hours 12 on 12 off. backed up slowly to 8 daylight and added a full clean up crew. 8 emerald crabs 20 blue legged hermit crabs no problem since. Also turned the power down on the lights

@Timothy Butler I had cut the lights a bit but read that anemones needed 12. Will start to cut back a bit. I realized they are actually getting a bit more than 12. My timer must have gotten off a bit. I can't cut down on the power of lights, nor do I have sunset or sunrise. The RS all in one isn't controllable. All on or all off, except moonlights.

@Larry Stewart I don't have turbos, heard they can shift rocks. I think it's pretty stable, and cemented where in question but am afraid to find out I'm wrong....

I'll probably chance 1 or 2 emeralds and more hermits and other snails in order to start dealing with this mess. Probably should get going on adding a refugium. A bit nervous doing that plumbing....
