Welcome! Pictures would definitely help. If it's all over it may be some sort of algae or bacterial growth...

I'm not sure what that is, but I moved this to another part of the forum for better views and answers. I'll give it a boost by calling the #reefsquad as well.

If your tank is still new? It could be just discolored algae or if the tank was cloudy, sometimes can leave some dookie on the glass.

looks like little filaments. Does it move in the current and appear to only be stuck to the glass on one side. If so, doesnt resemble any snail eggs I've ever seen. Looks like an algae or bacterial slime.

I did add new substrate. I think that was part of it. However, It happened like a week after. It has me really puzzeled.

It just takes time to clear up. Just scrape the glass, be sure filter media is clean and check carbon to see if it needs rinsing.
