Actually if your after a more acidic ph then yes. Reactor is what you want. It's going to balance alkalinity as well. Once the c02 is mixed in the chamber with the salt water it creates a lower ph. This dissolves the calcium media inside said reactor.

@Scubabum what are you're thoughts?
I have never used a Calcium Reactor or dosed. I've maintained my tank over the years by using Kalk in my ATO. I might have to start dosing soon as I add more coral. I have no room for a Calcium Reactor so dosing on an Auto doser will be my way of being a Baller and making my girlies Holla.

This is such a straaaange thread... :confused:

To the question, I've seen enough dosing pumps stick on that I've abandoned using dosing pumps for alk, cal, mg. A calcium reactor seems much less likely to fail IMHO.

Simply outdo this and the title is yours!:D But seriously, I have had such good luck with 2-part dosing, that I'm afraid to try something else.

So at the moment do u manually dose?
My current tank is still too new to need dosing. Weekly water changes keep my params stable ATM. However, I've got the calcium reactor already and it's ready to go as soon as my corals get to a point where dosing is necessary.
