Arh, got it, thanks. ;-) - meanwhile I have tried it out, the food is brilliant, when you sprinkle it on the surface of the water, it spreads out evenly on the surface.

Next question... how do I know if I feed the fry enough "pellets"? They have hand an unlimited supply of rotifers, but this is not the case with the pellets.

There still real young and just now getting there hunting skills. I would may be start two times a day in the morning and evening. Just keep the rotifers going for them as they need to eat and never let them go longer then an hour without them. Keep us posted on the babies im excited to see how this works as my pair have laid again after a six week brake so i will have another school of little ones to try this on in a week. :)

Get tour tank temp up to 80 if you can, this will help to speed them along to metamorphosis and get you to a safe period with better success of keeping what you have alive and well.

Cool, thanks - What about the light? Mine have 18 hrs of light, but I guess that I will need to cut back on that fairly soon?

Nop you can leave a dim light on 24/7 so they can see to get there food. About 12 to 15 days old you can cut back on the lights. I use a desk lamp with a frosted light filter over mine the when i move them to the 10gal it has a simple led fixture on it with a sponge filter and they stay with that until there like a month old the i kick on the HOB filter and remover the sponge. By this time im using new saltwater and not tank water form my DT.

10 sounds about right.. i just go by how big there getting. There is not much nutrition in the rots so they need that extra fuel. This is where i would mix the baby brine with crushed flakes super fine. Now that i know about OTO im super excited as it will eliminate the need to culture one more thing.. its a major task when you have two groups of fry going at different stages of life..

Thanks guys.. Yep eliminating another culture is not the worst that could happen... do you culture your own phytoplankton?

Can we get an update?
How are the babies doing and are you having luck with the new food?
