Does anyone else ramp up their lights in 10 min or so increments? Makes for a more gradual illumination.
Is that what the ramp time does, gradually raises the percentage?
I am not a fan for instant on & instant off

I played with a bell curve, but in the end it was just too much of a pain to maintain as my tank and lighting requirements evolved. Today I have a 2 hour max, and it ramps up 4.5 hours then down 4.5 hours, in a straight line.

My corals and fish don't seem to notice any difference. At least, none that they have mentioned.

2hr ramp blues, half way through (1hr) all channels ramp.
7 hours full all channels.
2hr ramp down with blues for the two hours and all other channels taking 1 hour.

So, approx. 9hrs light with 11hrs of blues.
3% TB between these times for lunar.
5% chance of cloud........ I prefer this over ramping lights up and down during the day.
