I'm starting this here to track my progress as I go. I'm still very new to this and have been doing lots of reading and video watching. I was given a gift from a friend who found out I wanted to get into saltwater. I've always loved them and after a recent trip to shedd figured it was my turn to try my hand in the hobby. Here is a few of the details about my beginning

180 gallon saltwater aquarium. Its set up for bio-ball (going to use live rock) filtration. Includes Eshopps S-300 skimmer, LED multicolor lighting, 2-Rio 3100 pumps, Coralife ultraviolet sterilizer. Tank measures 24" X 24" X 72". As shown, it stands 64 inches tall.

Time to up my reading and video watching.
