Looks like normal algae to me but I figured that I would double check with the experts!

Hey Rockadile, I am going to my LFS this weekend to upgrade my CUC alittle. Currently I have 6 Trochus snails, 2 Nassarius, and about 5 dwarf blue legged hermit crabs. Any other suggestions for right now?

yup, I suggest you dont buy them from your lfs and save a ton of money and buy a clean up crew from reefcleaners.org you will probably end up with twice as much for half the price.

Just part of a new tank. You don't have enough food to support more cuc. Give the tank sometime to grow.

Hard to tell from the pic but I would have to agree they are diatoms. Diatoms live off silica and the usual phosphate and nitrogen. silica is used in the formation of their frustules. They are usually the first form of algae to show up in a newly set up reef and disappear as other forms of algae start to take over. They are completely normal as most have pointed out.
