I have some new piece I'd love to mount, but keep putting it off. Always so apprehensive not knowing growth rates, patterns and so on.
That top photo with all the Zoa's makes me so envious!

Happy to see one of six sexy shrimp today while feeding my nems. Since adding them they've just disappeared. I've found them in my filter socks, and had resolved that they were doomed.

A little better vid. Finally found a use for the fish eye iPhone lens.

See how the shrimp displays when the goby sticks his big head in the shot. LOL

Started busting off some more birds nest tonight after work. It's a huge colony I wish I'd never mounted where I did. Anyway, made some room, prime real estate - height light, high flow.

Now, I need some showcase SPS; PC Rainbow, Pikachu, Orange Passion? Help me target something. [emoji6]

Been slacking lately. Life first, reef second (or third).

Learning a hard lesson I think. Loose frags falling and me not finding them till too late. Damaged a Fox flame and completely lost a nice bottle brush.

Finally getting my work surface finished. Pencil tile border cut (Thanks for loaning me your saw @Rob.D!). Everything glued in place on backer board, ready for grout tomorrow.

Finally, starting to see a start of vertical growth in my pink lemonade, just to the right of the 3/4" frag I started with.

Lost a new clam today, when it fell from a rock I'd hoped it would take hold to, into several ricordea.

Still battling cyano.

Frustrated.

Killed my two emerald crabs - both dead at the same time. I'm pretty sure their death coincides with my first ever dose of Seachem's Aquavitro Vibrance (iodide).

Alternatively, and I think this is unlikely, I could have introduced some Cupramine from an old dry QT setup.

Should have researched the iodide more. ☹️

Hmm, why did you decide to dose iodide?

You have no idea. [emoji22]

My bubble coral, which has been indestructible for two years, from half dead when I got it, skeleton exposed, to quadrupled in size and very healthy, deflated and was looking close to death for three days straight.

I had heard from a friend I trust at the LFS that iodide had been very beneficial for his LPS, so on a whim I thought I'd try it.

Just lazy. Nothing "on a whim" is good. I know that.

Cyano does seem to be ebbing away, very slowly. SPS look good and are growing, in spite of a little instability in alk and a low pH. Have no idea what could be happening to my bubble coral and hammer.

Impatient. Hasty. I know better.

I was dosing Iodine and from the reading that I did, is what you are experiencing now with the aquavitro product. A crash. I am sure you are doing water changes to lessen the concentration. I am experimenting all the time, recklessly with new products and so far I have cut the doses by 3/4 and then watch a build the dose.

Have a cold one and move on, that is about all you can do :) I hope that the system settles down.

....and then there were three. I'm actually not too happy about this, as they have proven impossible to dismount, and they're not really what I want in this tank. Lesson learned. [emoji53]

Are you talking about anemones? Never mind. Picture showed up after i posted lol

Side note, I've been dosing coral colors and reef energy and I'm thrilled with the results so far. Better than fuel in my opinion.

Just as much as I hear "Fuel", I hear "Acropower". Have you ever tried that?

Is Coral Colors The Red Sea product?
