I just ordered these to replace my PC 96w actinics. Anyone here have these? I haven't seen any reviews on them so I was wondering if any of you guys out there have any experienced with these LEDs. I have 2 250w MH 20k. Thx

Wow, you must like a blue tank huh? Supplementing a 20k :)

Tagging along, as I've been looking for the same thing to supplement my 14k Halides.

haha. For what its worth, I just got in two of the Ecoxotic LEF Modules in today, and they weren't bright enough. I'm going to try the ReefBrites that were highly recommended around here.

they will work for dusk dawn but i doubt you'll even know they are on when the halides come on

Thanks. I didn't order them last night, but might today. I do want some blue LED supplementation, but don't want to pay too much for it. I guess I'm gonna have to try them out and see. Some other people on here said they could see them on with their 250x halides. I guess its all in the setup.

i believe he was speaking to the op, not about the reefbrites.

and i'd agree with that - those strip leds in the op will be good for dawn/dusk, but will be worthless w/ the halides.

reefbrites will make a noticable difference with the halides. even with 400w xm 20k they make a difference. not a HUGE difference, but definitely noticeable.

vids i made about a year ago when we offered a group buy on them after they were first released:

YouTube - ReefBrite.wmv

YouTube - reebrite600g.wmv

(embarrassing, but whatever. :D )

you're absolutely right, so I put them on timers where they come on first then off when the halides come on and on again after halides go off

I have to say now that I've switched to these and removed the PC 96w actinics my chiller hardly comes on!! Those PC's do add a lot of heat with the halides. I'm really happy with them.
