125g RR, 2x6 top frame and the rest is 2x4s. 3/4" plywood under the tank and on the ends. Solid as a rock. Inwall so I didn't care about looks just functionality. That span in the middle of 37" allows me to have a 40B as a sump.

Ya I have a 40b as a sump as well, I'm running into the situation that my NAC9 cup is difficult to get off and be cleaned and I'm not little by no means I'm 6'2" 255 and I want to be able to get in their and do maintenance

I have a 120 and built my own stand, the idea is to get an open clearance for the sump below, I did this by making all four legs with 4 X 6 studs and filled the back area with
4X4 to place less strain on the legs. I also made sure down below where the tank sits are braced with additional studs to insure no sagging from the weight of the tank and I also made it higher than the standard stand to get the illusion of a bigger tank, This way you don't have to bend down to see the bottom of the tank. The Canopy is taller than the standard size too for flexibility of any light upgrades.

Here is my 8 foot stand for my 240. The bare wood picture is the tank upside down. The 4 length wise beams are each made from two 6"x96"x 3/4" strips of plywood glued together. They are at least 3 x stronger than a regular 2x6 allowing the 4 foot open span in the middle. I'm eventually going to put raised oak panel doors and oak trim on it. I currently have a 75 sump and a 40 breeder for water changes under it. I might make the 40 breeder into a frag tank one day. I framed the bottom with 1x4s, sealed the entire tank with water proof paint and ran a drain tube to the outside of my house to protect subfloor from leaks.

When I upgraded tanks one of the big things I knew I wanted to change was the room in the stand .... definitely wanted to make things easier to work with under there. The new tank being a deep dimension, obviously added a lot of room width-wise anyway but I also wanted more height and easy access. So, the new stand was made 37" high and with a very large opening for front access as well as having both ends made as removable panels.

The stand has a 65 gallon sump, a 30 gallon top off tank, several reactors and a 5 gallon bucket for skimmer overflow ..... and plenty of room to work in!

Everything was screwed and glued 2x4 with 1/4 plywood sheeting.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have attempted the inlay door. I'm definitely a novice woodworker.

Here is mine. It's 2x4 construction skinned with select pine, there is no center support so I have plenty of room to work and the stand is 36" tall so plenty of room for equipment.

I wish my finnishing skills were a little better, but it works for me.
2x4's and 3/4" oak plywood.

This is identical to what I want to build, mine is 72" long and 28" wide I believe, but my biggest concern is getting in/out for maintenance cleaning etc. Then I'd like a drip tray as well or maybe line the bottom with water proof material that way of spillage happens it's no biggie. My left cabinet I want completely sealed off from my tank for that's where I want all my electricity/controls to be set and that way it's away from salt erosion/build up etc.

Any tips?

Yeah my story way short its a 55 stand and was surprised to see it at petco as i got it at auction with hood tank filter blah blah blah. But looking at it i was like really this will hold a tank for quite awhile. So then just built another stand in it one that would hold the tank..... Yeah I have issues! :)

Here's mine. I can't take credit for the design, I totally ripped it off of a guy on the "other" forum. He had a very detailed build thread and I loved the way his turned out so I copied it. All maple.
