Thank you for this list of acronyms. This is my first post and I have so much to learn. I have been a FOWLR hobbyist for 10+ years. Earlier this year after upgrading from a 55 to 80 gallon tank, I suddenly lost all of my livestock to ick including my 9 year old clown. I was very upset to say the least. So after months of treatment, and starting completely from scratch, I decided I was ready for some coral and nems for my new pair of mated snowflakes. I have everything ready to begin with the exception of proper lighting. I have learned so much from all of you and truly appreciate the passion and hard work.

Several years old and most of these terms are still used.. Some are by us older guys refusing to let go of the old technology!

And yes.. RC is strictly an acronym for Reef Crystals! ;)

These are some of what I use but not sure if agreed by the consensus of reefers here
AWC : auto water change
BoB : Break out Box (Apex specific)
BmL : BuildMyLed (once an aquarium LED manufacturer)
LMAS : like LOL but a bit harder
SMH : shake my head
point of sale : Piece of Shi! (may not be appropriate but used quite often :) )
RSP : Red sea pro salt
IO : Instant Ocean salt
XHO : Extra hight output light
RB : Reef Brite LED
RIP : Rest in Peace (dead!)
FTW : Reverse of another acronym what the heck which is totally inappropriate!

A substitution for a name which was not family friendly, and a name therefore not allowed by R2R policy.

Ha! I didn't know names of corals got so dirty. Now I really got to know, my mind is trying to come up with all kinds crazy combinations of those 2 letter possibilities.
