Picked up a GSP frag a while ago right before my new tank "crashed". Now, a month later I notice these long stringy things. Sorry about the quality.

My initial guess would be hydroids?

I have the first things-maybe 2-3 in the rock work. They come out at night.

That would be my first guess based on the image provided.

So let's assume mine are hydroids. I believe there to only be two of the buggers at this point. Will tweezer removal be sufficient?

I think I'll just try and remove them manually then. Normally I wouldn't worry, but my tank has suddenly become very micro-fauna friendly (for no good/particular reason).

Yea I totally would. Tanks phase.
My yucky hydroids started to multiply on onenrock and the sponge and tunicates did too. Weird.
Throwing the rock in the yard this weekend.

Those digitate hydroids are a colonial animal if memory serves. I'm not sure pulling it out will do the trick since each segment is another animal. I don't think it would hurt though. Can you pull it off outside of the tank, maybe in a cup of water?
