Marine betta would be a good choice in any tank reef or fish only
I was looking at them last night! They aren't terribly popular over here, at all. But I could always order one I suppose [emoji14]

Marine bettas are great, but shouldn't be kept with the dampiera dottyback. The betta will get beat up.

dang, they do look interesting. Due to the lack of interest, I am yet to see one in person. Are they popular in the states? If that's where you are from?

They seem to be experiencing a resurgence in popularity. I love them and have a pr in my tank.

I'll have to search for some photos. They are a very hardy, very peaceful fish. They can be very shy for the first couple of months and they aren't too outgoing in very bright lights, but can be quite active in the evening.

So I'm buying the tank this weekend and then the fun begins. Although I may ask for more opinions as I go. I will be getting the tank, stand, sump, hood and plumbing. No gear. And this will be my first time going from basically scratch.

Do you know much about the "green wolf eel" dottyback?

Alright, do they fit into the 1 dottyback per tank as usual, or do they tend to not be quite like that due to the different body shape?

Due to their aggressive nature they should not be mixed with other dottybacks.
