The left looks a little weird. I gotta walk away from it for a bit. Maybe get some more rock for that area.

I love it! I don't think I would add any more rock. Once the coral fills in more it will really look amazing.

Thanks Brew! I won't make any changes right away. I like to live with it for a while before making changes because I often change my mind once it grows on me. We'll see :)

I gotta walk away from it for a bit.
I tell myself this all. the. time...

Tank looks great! When I first opened the video above, I thought that your veggie-clip was a directionally rotating powerhead and was VERY impressed. Now that I see it as a plastic clip instead, I find myself wondering why rotating powerheads aren't a thing...

Your tank video also makes me want to get a purple tang. But I've got 4 tangs already (one of them a yellow), so I don't think one's in the cards for me...

...then traded the rest in to the LFS I work for.
Ugh. Jealous. I've tried to trade stuff into my local LFS and, while they will take what I've offered and put it for sale, I get no credit from them for it. Granted; I've just given them fancy-tail guppies, so they aren't worth much. But still - 200+ guppies should be worth at least a BTA or so, I'd think... :-\
Anywho; glad to see the tank progressing! Looking forward to the grow-out ahead. And I support the leaving of the sand mounds - very natural looking!

FTS January 14 2017.jpg

Here's the water mixing station. I've been working on plumbing all day. This is where I'm at right now. We decided to nix the free container and just get another Norwesco. It's easier to put bulk heads on. I managed to get the RODI moved over and every single filter replaced. It was beyond time for that. I'll update with the completed project- hopefully tonight. I still have to hook up the RODI to the faucet outside as well. That requires drilling a small hole in the window sill so I'm going to wait for Richard to do that so I have somebody to yell at if it messes something up. ;)

Well, I got it done! I just have to clean the bottom one out from all holes I cut for the bulk heads and it's complete. Next step is to connect the RODI to the water from outside and I'm in business!

My handy dandy filler upper thing. I can disconnect this from the "spigot" and use it to drain water from the display as well as fill it.

I have about four gallon of RODI left before I have to have the machine back up and running. The hubs better hurry up

Great job!!

Why thank you kind sir!
Nice! I'm digging it.

Thank you very much! I stole the idea from work. We have a hose with a handle like the one I built and use it to top off all the tanks all over the store. It's pretty easy and handy. We can switch it from salt to fresh for top off or water changes. Oh!!! I need put a spigot on the fresh water so I can get that out if I need it! Back to home depot.

Thanks! This is the third one I've tried and the smallest. I'm not doing anything special aside from not moving it or touching it. lol I'm afraid to do anything with it aside from feeding it the occasional Reef Roids. I do water changes and keep the RODI jug full for the ATO. I want to move it to the display but I"m afraid it will die on me if I do that... for no apparent reason. It's a head stumper of a coral. If I figure out what I'm doing to keep it from dying, I'll let ya know for sure.
