missing hermit crabs

I have bought 12 hermit crabs last Wednesday.

as of right now...2 are missing since i count everyday...


no missing shells...


so whats the deal?
also a 3rd one was out of its shell, also nowhere to be found

The one out of its shell probably got eaten by the others. Cannibals. Look for the others underneath or in between rocks. Good luck!

My hermirts disappear for days sometimes weeks on end and as soon as I assume one must've been dinner for another it'll pop out for a stroll. They're the terrorists of the reef tank!
