I ws going to hold off on this but I do have a question or two. I pick up my 96x36x24 acrylic aquarium and 72x24x18 acrylic sump from acrylic creations tomorrow and have a question about some pumps I have. My buddy got me 2 two little giants 587600 from his job that where used to pump bleach. I will neutralize and clean them. But will they work or should i get different ones?

Just looked it up.....it cost over one thousand dollars....it's a beast.....industrial, made to pump corrosive chemicals. Salt water is corrosive, so yes, it will more than work. At 1 foot of head, 3180 gph....At 50 foot of head, 1296 gph. Note, they are external pumps with 3/4 horse motors.

And welcome to R2R. Start a member's tank thread for your new tank and document the build.

I am currently on my way home with my custom acrylic aquarium with island overflow box and with 72x24x18 acrylic sump. I can't wait to finish my basement to set this beast up.

powerful pumps but your electric bill is going to skyrocket as these pumps use 10 Amps each. just clean them with vinegar to neutralize the bleach.

Slowly coming together. The remodel in the basement is nearly completed and started building the stand to hold this thing. The stand is being built out of 2x6 and will have all joints caulked and painted. Will be finished tonight so that Saturday the tank goes on and plumbed. Super excited

Ran into a few hiccups but mostly do to remodel of room slowing me down plus it is taking forever to fill with rodi water. Tank almost filled and trying to paint the return pipes for aesthetics.

It has been a while since I updated. The cabinetry isn't up yet but I have the lights installed and aquarium up and running. It is stable and no more swings. So far 2 anthias due to one dying. Wasn't eating like the females. But this will be finished this weekend and can't wait.

Been a while and working a lot so not too much has changed. I added more rock, fish, and have a Duncan and red sponge

Horrible me. Very slow build due to very long work weeks but has slowed down and making some progress and lost a few aquatic life but leaving alone for a while and finish the build for now.
