Beautiful reef!
You're welcome to come by anytime! I lost the smallest of the 3 goldflakes. The tablet mount is 3d printed but they can be purchased from aquariumledmounts.comI hadn't check your build in a while, everything is looking great! I'm still hoping to get a tour of everything if/when I make it out to Simi.
Did you end up selling the 3rd goldflake angel? I just saw them for the first time in another thread here and now I want one! lol
Is the frame for the fire tablet 3d printed? Love seeing 3d printed stuff being used and coming up with new ideas for me to print.
Quite well actually. I spent some time this weekend working on the light project getting some preliminary settings and preparing the mounts. I actually hung two fixtures over the main display yesterday so I could do some further testing before I put all of them up there. I wanted to make sure I got the color as close to my current lighting as possible in an effort to prevent shocking my corals as a result of the lighting upgrade. I also got a Seneye monitor to check the Kelvin but that proved pretty much worthless. It displays a "No Kelvin" message due to the high kelvin range of my lighting. The only way to get a Kelvin reading out of the Seneye is to use an orange gel filter which kind of defeats the purpose. Granted, I can adjust them to match the Kessils if I test both using the gel filter on the Seneye meter. Anyhow, I should have the lights up in the next handful of days. How are things going?
Yes, that is a Garf Bonsai. It's amazing what the top down pictures look like vs pictures shot thorough the viewing panes. When the light is directly above and the photos are shot from directly above, the colors are stunning. I am really looking forward to completing the Mitras LX7206 install as they do wonders for the coral coloration and I can't wait to see this tank under them.
Scott is this Garf Bonsai? Those colors are absolutely amazing!
