yeah, i was told the same thing by a friend :( and thks for the kind words.

I decided to start a LPS / softies tank instead. My 2 angels are nipping at some of my LPS, i think they are the culprit for my Wellso been in bad shape.
i wanted to shut down my fresh water tank in the living room and making it my lsp tank in the basement, but my wife did not want, that would be so much less maintenance, both tank hooked together. no more triming, gardening. just one water change / week.. sight!

Little update, found my first indesirable pest: montipora nudibranch.

I had 2 plates of Montipora confusa that i did not want anymore, one of them showed dead tissue, both were on a temporary frag rack in my DT. I though it was coming from a previous fall on another coral that happened a few weeks back.
During my maintenance i saw those nasty white critter. Decided to throw them in the garbage. I still have 1 colony of montipora capricornis and 2 digitata (blue and green). i will be following these closely. If infected, bye bye Montipora. I liked the colonies, but long term it's not those color or variety that i wanted. I was thinking about Forest Fire.
I got all those montipora from my initial coral purchase back in June, so i was supprise to find these now, probly from eggs on one of my recent addition.

but anyway, i don't want to spend hours removing those manualy and Iodine dip seems only effective on adult, not eggs.
i guess i might end up with a Montipora-free DT for a while. we will see.

thanks. This hobby is so great and freaking insane, it can be so beautifull but i feel anything could happen before i see this fills in!!!
that gives even greater value when you see mature tank with incredible coral collection, growth, color, etc.
i jsut hope i can get there some day

Little update:
- I'm still in the process of completing my stand, i will not be able to get what i anticipated, i don't have enought space. I might end up with only a right and a left cabinet on each side of the tank. Maybe, i'll be able to fit a sink on the right. I wich i had some skills and build it myself, but since i want it to look good, i'll get some help :)

- QT: one red mandarin just completed 2weeks, 2 more 2 go. i did the TTM and got him to eat frozen food!!!

Here's a video of my tank, the colors are a bit yellow/greennish, but still the most decent i got:

p.s.: my kole tang is not chasing my flameback angel... he's chasing his poop... sight!
