JosephCosta, where did you get the A160WE?! I heard they were releasing it this month but haven't seen it available anywhere. What's your thoughts on it?

I won it in a raffle at the grand opening of Neptune Aquatics in San Jose, CA. So far I have nothing but good things to say about it, it is sitting on a IM Nuvo 20.

They were saying that it may be out in December.

I contacted Kessil about the A160we and they told me it should be available mid November. josephcosta Tell us more details!! Does the color range from Sky Blue to Deep Ocean? Do you have it hooked up to a controller? Anything else different? So jealous!

I second everything you said regarding the Kessils. I literally just put my rock in a few days ago, corals & fish will follow soon, but I can't stop staring at the tank. The color and shimmer are so close to shallow reefs, it's nuts. I will have a pretty minimal aquascape and will have a mixed reef set up, so I'm hoping I can get away with the (2) 360we's. I am thinking of getting a reefbrite 12" blue strip to place in between the Kessils to add more pop when the Kessils are at 100% color and intensity. The Apex controls are easy and work great and I couldn't be happier with choosing Kessil. I wanted to add a pic of how I mounted the lights, as I did not want the goosenecks over my main tank and if I wanted to add some additional lights, I wouldn't have a problem. I was lazy and used my phone camera, but the Kessils actually take decent pics with the Galaxy

How far off of the top of the tank do you run your Kessil's? Mine are about 10" off the top...just purchased some SPS frags and a couple of them haven't colored up yet...going to move them up closer to the top of the tank. Thanks for any info....

Kdub, I just adjusted my light rack to where I had very little light splashing outside the tank. I would say they are roughly 9-10". But I literally just set up, so I can't comment on coral growth yet. Time will tell I guess. I might end up getting a third for my 48" tank, who knows Nice looking tank BTW!

I have it hooked up to an Apex controller and the color temp range is the same as the A360We Tuna Blue. It cuts out at 14% just like its big brothers which I wish they would find a way to work around, I really like the true fade to dark like I had on my previous DIY LED fixture. I am running it at 80% brightness and I think that might still be too high on the Nuvo 20.

My tank is a 75g 4ft tank so two should work on the 90g.

you might want 3, if this is your main source of light.

heres my 300 glon with 6 a360w ..i love my kessils .ive been running them for over a year now and no regrets ...sps colors are awsome
