Ive been working in the aquarium industry for about 6 years spending most of my work.with cichlids and exotic freshwater fish and animals. Spend the past 2years trying to learn corals. I am new to r2r, I've heard amazing things about this forum and its members need some help on this little piece I picked up for my nano tank.
If anyone can help me out that would be great I know how to keep corals and all the good stuff just really trying to get into species of corals and stuff like that. Worked one store i ran the reef tank. Wish I had pictures. Pipe organ, zoa's, few brains, facias, acro, mushrooms all sorts of stuff my favorites have to be montipora and pagoda cul corals.. but other wise thank you for anyone reading and or replying hope to hear some thoughts and names to this frag. Cant get a good blue light picture but the orange is more defined

I think it's an acan. It looks cool--purple and blue are really hard to find in a coral, and acans pretty are easy. Good for you, man!

Welcome to R2R!!! Looks like a Acanthastrea lordhowensis
Awesome thank you so much! And thank you guys for answering back so fast!! I had a feeling it was from research or a echitana but I'm still trying to learn the details! Anything special I should worry about besides slow adjustment to light and slow feedings till it gets used to the tank and it's possible aggression?

Super easy to care for, they will extend feeder tenticals (very short) and feed meaty foods. Mine always did best with PE Mysis. Not aggressive at all.
