Do you know how they are with cleaner shrimp or other inverts? My daughter has been wanting me to add one for a while now just been hesitant

He lives in his cave with 2 blood shrimp and a harlequin right nearby....never tried to eat them....I feed him chopped up raw shrimp 2 times a week.

Your tank is just stunning. I have been looking for ideas for my 180 build and this is the ticket. Your lay out is just awesome

Tank is looking great! How is the Gyre working out? I'm trying to figure out if I want to use my MP40's on my new 180 or use an MP40 and Gyre.

Thanks! I am very happy with my Gyre. I was always using it about 60% on regular mode but decided to switch to 100% pulsing mode this way the corals get hit from both directions. It's definitely enough flow by itself but I'm considering adding something small on the other side as the corals right near the Gyre don't get very strong flow.

Hi, I finally leveled the tank I've been waiting to set up. I ended up shimming it and it was easier then I thought. Livestock had been in a stock tank for a month and I just put everything together yesterday.

180 gallon Marineland RR with Marinland Monteray stand

Sump is a 50 gallon tank without baffles. 2 filter socks (homemade)

Reef Octopus 150 INT

Tunze top off

1 XF-150 for flow

see pics below!

I am having the worst luck with fish eating corals. My sargassum decided it was fun to pick the tips off my elegance. He had to go. So far over the last six months I've had a copperbanded, flame wrasse, blue hippo and the sargassum all eat coral.

FYI I do feed very well.
