I am planning the setup of my Jbj 45 gallon tank and being a high schooler I am always looking for ways to save money. Having a light that not only grows corals but that makes the tank look good is important to me. If anyone can provide some knowledge on if the Ocean revives are that much better than the normal Chinese LEDs would be great!

I have two over my 75 gallon reef. I really like them and have no problem growing SPS.

In your position, I'd consider this DIY:
http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/267432-gu10-led-build-thread-chinese-ebay-lights/

Is the tank you're looking at a 45 gallon cube? (More like a fat rectangle, right? The non-filtration part of the tank....the display...is 26 x 16 x 19H" right? Pls correct me if I'm wrong.)

I'd build a single 26" strip....cost would be no more than $70. If you have any materials on hand to use for wiring and to use as the mounting fixture for the sockets, the cost should be more like $35. That's a set of 12 bulbs and 12 sockets. Check out the link and let me know if this is interesting. It's VERY VERY easy. If you can screw in a light bulb and competently operate a twist tie, then you should have no problems with this DIY. :)

I believe the dimensions are 26 x 21 x 19. I clicked the link but the pictures won't show so I am having a hard time understanding what it would look like and how to do it.

They're all chinese. I don't have experience with the ocean revive but the mars aqua are setup with manual dimmers. Just fork up the extra $30 and get the wifi programmable. I have both and would choose the wifi version over the analog version any day. That said the mars aqua has a few extra blue leds compared to the wifi. Not enough to make a difference, in my experience.

T247 have much better spectrum than the mars. IMO. The t247 are very close to the SB LEDs spectrum have have nice heat sinks also. I may be wrong but the mars probably do not have heat sinks

I'm interested to see what others think too. I was tossing up between the OR SO26 and Mars Aqua. I ended up with the OR but am yet to use them :)

I recently switched from radium 250's to two t247. After comparing several things I found the OR fixture to be the best quality and spectrum for the $$. I've ran the t247 for 3 months now and so far I'm loving them. Very nice build quality compared to the standard black box and much better looking light. Side by said with a radium it was hard to see the difference in appearance

I don't think you can go wrong with either. I've seen successful tanks with both. I ran this tank for two years with mars aqua before a tank upgrade.

New tank is using a modified populargrow wifi 165w unit.

Any chance you are selling your 250w MH?
